PSYCHEDELICS

Psychedelics are a class of drugs with hallucinogenic properties whose major effect is to stimulate mental activity beyond the traditional experience of the physical senses to a state of expanded consciousness often called psychedelic experience or “trip.”

The term "psychedelic" comes from the Greek words psyche ('soul, mind') and deloun ('to manifest'). It was first coined by British psychiatrist Humphry Osmond in 1957.

This website focuses on natually produced psychedelics from plant, animal and other natural sources that cause specific psychological, visual, and auditory changes and altered states of consciousness including Psilocybin, Lysergic acid diethylamide (LSD), Mescaline and Dimethyltryptamine (DMT).

Woodstock Psychedelics provides information about creative, spiritual and therapeutic uses for psychedelics and the status of their legalization.
